Our history:<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Family, tradition and international vocation from Levante Almeriense<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

At Contino Transportes, we have been connecting the Levante Almeriense with the world for more than six decades. We are a family business, rooted in the tradition and effort of three generations that have made this business a symbol of trust and excellence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our name, Contino<\/strong>, has its origin in our family’s traditional nickname, “Los Contino”, a nickname that has identified us for centuries and that today represents dedication and service in transportation. It all began in 1959<\/strong>, when Juan Rodriguez<\/strong>, our grandfather, started the business with a single vehicle, collecting milk from local farms. Soon, that humble initiative grew: the first routes to Barcelona with transport vans marked the beginning of our mission to connect people and markets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the years, the business continued to grow into new horizons. In 1967<\/strong>, we acquired our first large van, a DKW, and in 1974<\/strong>, we made the leap to larger trucks with a Pegaso Europa 170. In 1978<\/strong>, we added trailers to our fleet, expanding our operations. The second generation, led by Juan Jos\u00e9 Rodr\u00edguez, <\/strong> formalized the Contino Transportes<\/strong> brand, consolidating our place in the industry. The trucks found their first home in the port of Garrucha, and after several facilities around Garrucha, in 2004<\/strong> we opened our current headquarters in La Jara, a reflection of our roots and growth in the region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, the third generation of the Rodriguez family is at the helm, carrying on the legacy with passion and vision. Under their leadership, we have crossed borders: in 2015<\/strong>, we opened our headquarters in Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Germany,<\/strong> and in 2023<\/strong>, we inaugurated a new base in Mollet del Vall\u00e9s, Barcelona<\/strong>. These expansions show our international vocation, but our heart remains in Levante Almeriense. Here, we employ more than 60 families<\/strong> in the area and have a turnover of more than 3 million euros<\/strong>, contributing to the economic and social development of our community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Contino Transportes, our success is measured in the trust of our customers and the positive impact we leave on our land. We are a family business with a global outlook, but always faithful to our roots in Garrucha, where it all began. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
